A parody of Australians and their lifestyle, We can be Heroes is a TV series about 5 Australians in the run to be Austrailan Hero of the year.

The characters are all played by one person - which adds to the humour.

The School Girl  -  Rich, spoilt, popular, 'role model', donates to charity but very self centred and likes people to compliment her.

The Mum  -  Is slightly disabled where one leg is shorter than the other. She becomes involved in the sport of 'rolling' and is an inspiration.

The farmer's kid  -  Not very polite, but is doing a heroic surgery to help his hearing-impaired twin brother. Not the best role model there is.

The Scientist  -  A chinese scientist who also becomes involved with drama and strives to become a famous actor.

The former police hero  -  A hero once before and now dwells upon that.

All these characters are doing something heroic, which deserves them the title but they all have a downside to their personality which is very humorous, and at time, might be insulting to some viewers.

This show has caused contraversy with its content but most people find it the "best Australian comedy ever" with it winning  most outstanding comedy program at the 2006 Australian logie awards.
